Stephen Miley, M.D., FACEP

Stephen Miley, M.D. FACEP is an ABEM Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician with over 40 years of practice in large Level II Trauma Centers (60,000 visits a year) as well as in smaller rural ERs.

As a full-time ER physician, he has extensive experience diagnosing most clinical conditions.

Dr. Miley has a unique background in the medical field, having worked as the ED Medical Director for multiple hospitals, as Chief of Staff, and as an Instructor for Advanced Trauma Life Support with the American College of Surgeons. He has practical experience in the business side of medicine as well, having built and run Urgent Care facilities and Medical Imaging Clinics. He also has a thorough understanding of medical software and documentation, having designed and led the development of MedHost, the largest ED patient tracking software in the country.

Medical Expert Witness

Dr. Miley provides case analysis, medical record review, scientific research and literature review, written reports, risk assessment, cause and effect relationship, and forensic and independent medical examination. He will provide objective expert opinions at depositions, mediation and arbitration, as well as provide testimony at trial whether for plaintiff or defense. Dr. Miley’s strength lies in his ability to define and explain complex concepts, medical terms and processes in a calm, logical and extremely effective manner.
